July 26 - Minutes of the meeting

The meeting started exactly at 7PM, and after a 15-minute recess wherein we partook of our usual dinner of pancit, the program was underway. As has been the tradition in Butterntoast, guests’ and members were asked to introduce themselves in line with the theme for the night, “Make it Happen”.

Prior to the start of the meeting, the individual evaluators were met outside by Dr. Ces Ruperto, CL, of REBAP TMC, and who also happened to be our GE for the meeting. Ms. Ces gave the evaluators these tips:
- Evaluators should meet with the prepared speech participants who they are to evaluate, and ask what area the ratee would want his/her evaluator to focus on.
- Since time is an issue in the club, evaluators should avoid including a summary of the speeches in their evaluation

TM of the PM was TM Mars Sy (BNT's Treasurer), who ably lead the proceedings. Mars injected his own brand of humor, and ensured that the program proceeded smoothly and without any hitches.

Table Topics Master for the night was ACB Ed Ebreo. Ed’s victims, er, Table Topics participants were Mars, Jun and 2nd time guest, Sana. Ed’s questions ranged from “What the mind can conceive, the body can achieve. Prove it.” And “what would you do if you knew that you could not fail?”. Table Topics evaluator was CC/CL Sheila dela Cruz. All three participants strengths were their presence on stage.

Prepared speeches were delivered by the following speakers:
Icebreaker – Elinor Bulauitan, “SING, DANCE, and COMMUNICATE”
Basic Speech #2: Organize Your Speech - Jun Roy, TM, “POWER of CHOICE”
Basic Speech #9 Gege Sugue, TM, “VOICE POWER VS. POVERTY”

The evaluators were Sheila dela Cruz (CC, CL), Dr. Ces Ruperto (CL), and Ed Ebreo (ACB), respectively.

The technical evaluators were the following:
