ButterNToast- The Charter NightFor a Toastmaster Club born from an e-group, chartering is a milestonefor its members. Again, internet did wonders so despite the shortperiod of preparation to coincide the chartering with the 51stbirthday of its charter president,It was a SUCCESS! Dedicated members wasted no time in preparing for the BIG NIGHT. Despite pressures from their respective jobs, they made themselves available to do what needs to be done. Kudos to all!
We are indeed a club to watch for!Reception or Registration table was manned by TM Sheila Mapanao, ourVP for Membership and TM Mars Sy, our Treasurer, assisted by TM RJLaguardia, of Pilipinas-Shell and Protocol Officer, TM Rael Ortiz. All BnT members came in their best form- all good looking ladies and men. A revelation to me that night is ATM-G Jenny Tio. Almost not recognize her in her make up! Hope to see Jenny in make up every TM meetings. You are pretty, Jenny!Our birthday girl and Charter President Michelle Lim is in greencheong-san (is my
spelling correct?) and hair in bun. I would have mistaken her as the celebrity, who used to play the role of Miss Tapia in the 80's sitcom, Iskul BUkol. Michelle, you do look like MelyTagasa. No offense meant, but I think she is a very good writer too.To us, you are really our teacher and mentor.We were supposed to wear theme color St. Patrick green and gold, but at the last minute, our President say, come as you wish, so I did…. in gown! Hehehe.. turned out I was the only one wearing gown! Its good our Protocol Officer Rael came in tie so I have a partner and so two or more of our guests. After all, our venue looked like we're in a hotel! Thanks to Shell Pilipinas Management.The room started to fill with members and guests. For the first time,I met our other charter members, TM Litay Brunner, TM Henry Pingol(who came in black suit ), ATM (?) Pat Pascua, TM Lory Sacol, TMKristine Lim, ATM (?) Katrina Letargo. (Please correct me of their titles) Thanks .Also present were BnT charter members, TM Katherine Lim, the 'bunso'of our CP, TM Bryan Acosta, TM John Erik Gonzales,TM Maureen de Jesus, all from Pilipinas Shell, TM Carina Rasul (who was responsible for our tarpuline hanging at the entrance).Among the guests from other TM Clubs headed by FG Mike Chua and his wife are (my apologies, I don't know their titles) : Catherine de los Santos-House of Representatives, Mary Lim Kingsuat- Emperor TMC, Aime Yu, - El Presidente TMC, DTM Tony Figuerroa-Jersey TMC and incoming DG of D46,
PDG Jimmy Pamintuan –Presidents TMC, ATM –(?) Raju Mandhyan–Executive TMC, Joseph Yee- Achievers TMC, DTM Col Roy Nicolas, DTMNoy Josef , DTM Irene Dee, D(?)TM Erlyn Castro –Managers for ChristTMC, TM Brian Calaycay-Blue Swoosh TMC, Tm Liza Romarate –Silver andWhite TMC, TM Katherine Cruz-Silver and White TMC , TM Luz Go –TamarawTMC, (please correct their titles).
